So who can come to the Golden Jubilee?

Our unique status means that anyone, living anywhere in Scotland, can come to us for an operation in our current range of specialties. And because we are a planned care hospital, your surgery is more likely to go ahead on time.

Patients who have to wait locally for any of our specialties should have the choice of coming to the Golden Jubilee. The only thing you have to do is decide whether to come here or not – we will do everything else!

If you opt to come here, your NHS Board will refer you to us for treatment. Once you have been assessed – to see if you are fit for surgery – we will carry out all admission and discharge arrangements for you.

After your operation, we will tell your NHS Board to remove your name from the waiting list. We then work together with your referring NHS Board to ensure that you are provided with the appropriate follow-up care.
