Accessibility

We firmly believe that our health services should be designed so that people, irrespective of their particular needs, can:

  • contact us
  • get to us
  • use our services
  • understand our services.
We foster a supportive attitude, creating an environment that is both welcoming and inclusive to all.

We have a range of services available to ensure we are providing a flexible service that is entirely focused on patients as individuals, these include:

Two textphones are available in the National Waiting Times Centre. These devices come with a keyboard and a display screen to allow users to type what they would like to say rather than speaking into a mouthpiece.

Hearing loops have been installed to allow those using a hearing aid or loop listener to hear sounds more clearly.

We offer communication support – such as patient information booklets – in a format suitable to the individual. Therefore, the information we publish is available in an alternative format of your choice.
