Involving you
We believe that you have a right to be involved in the planning and delivery of care and services, irrespective of your age, race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability or social class. This involvement should be in a way that promotes equality and respects diversity.
Whilst the legislation and policies that govern what we are required to do may be complex and numerous, the main idea is simple - by involving people, everyone will benefit.
There are a number of things that we do to involve people in our services.
- Respect and value all individuals – we do not accept harassment or discrimination under any circumstances.
- Encourage everyone who uses our services, or works for us, to become involved in what we do.
- Listen to what our patients tell us about their experiences of using our services, and make changes when needed.
- Take a partnership approach with the general public and voluntary and public sector organisations.
- Promote and provide education, training and development to staff to deliver all aspects of our involving people agenda.
- Provide relevant information and guidance to our staff and patients in formats that they are able to use.
Want to be involved in the planning and delivery of our services? Contact us to find out how.
