Not able to drop in?

Want to contact a friend or relative being treated at the Golden Jubilee, but can’t make it in to see them? All of our patient rooms have their own telephone. To speak to a patient, simply telephone the ward and our staff will be happy to connect your call. You can also contact the ward to find out the condition of a patient, but we ask you to nominate only one family member or friend to make these calls.

Cards and gifts can also be sent to patients. Simply include their full name, room number and ward to ensure it gets to them quickly and easily.

Other facilities

We have our own shop that stocks a large selection of sundry items such as newspapers, magazines, phone cards, stamps, toiletries and gifts.
Situated on the ground floor, next to the West lifts, the shop is open from 8am-8pm, Monday to Friday and 9am-4pm Saturday and Sunday. A trolley service is provided to the wards from 10.30-11am and 2.15-2.45pm, Monday to Friday, and 10.30-11am Saturday and Sunday.

Smoking is not allowed anywhere on hospital grounds. We appreciate your co-operation in this area.

Spiritual and Pastoral Care / Hospital Chaplaincy

Our Spiritual Care service is available to all visitors to the hospital - whether your approach to life is based on faith or philosophy, we are here for you.

You can request to speak to a hospital chaplain at any time - just let a member of staff know and they will contact the Spiritual Care team on your behalf. If you wish, we can contact a representative of your chosen denomination, religion or faith group to arrange a visit for you.

Our Spiritual Care Provider can be contacted on 0141 951 5060. Out of hours, you can contact this service via hospital switchboard on 0141 951 5000.

Hand hygiene

Infection control is everyone’s responsibility. And that’s why we have a strict hand hygiene system in place here at the Golden Jubilee.

All staff, patients and visitors should wash their hands with our special alcohol gel on entering and leaving any clinical areas. You can do this at our hand hygiene stations, which are located just outside our wards. You can also find bottles of this gel, which helps us reduce the risk of infection, on the sinks in every patient room.
