Outpatients

The main Outpatients Department, situated on level one, is the first port of call for all patients coming in to the Golden Jubilee National Hospital for an elective surgical procedure.

We have nurse-led clinics for:

  • assessing general, plastic and heart surgery patients before surgery
  • consultations before and after plastic surgery
  • checking wound dressings after surgery
  • assessing before eye surgery.

The Outpatients Department now has a dedicated Consultant Ophthalmologist, who carries out consultations before and after surgery along with our visiting consultants.

There are two rooms for minor surgical procedures within the Outpatients Department and our Nurse Specialist Practitioner assists consultants during a minor surgical procedural list.

We also have an Orthopaedic Outpatient Department and an Arthroplasy service for patients who have had a joint replacement operation.
