Housekeeping

Our Housekeeping Department ensures we provide a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors. A team of 37 Housekeepers and 10 porters are on hand from 6am to 8pm every day.

Our large Housekeeping team report in to our Senior Manager for Infection Control, helping reduce healthcare associated infections in line with national guidelines. The team play a vital role in combating healthcare associated infections by maintaining all clinical and non-clinical areas in the hospital in line with national cleaning specifications.

Our Porters provide planned and urgent services to all departments, including transferring patient records, x-rays, pharmacy supplies or prescriptions and laboratory samples. They also deliver linen, pick up general and clinical waste and move furniture.
