You can be referred by your local NHS Board to the Golden Jubilee National Hospital for the following procedures:

• heart operations and interventions
• orthopaedic surgery (including complex hip and knee replacements)
• eye surgery
• other general surgery.

Depending on your surgery, you will either be treated as:

• an inpatient – staying with us for a few days
• a day case - which usually means that you can go home the same day.
