Are you interested in an exciting career opportunity within The Golden Jubilee National Hospital which is home to Regional and National Heart and Lung services and a major centre for orthopaedics?  This flagship hospital also supports other Boards in reducing waiting times in key elective specialties including ultrasound.

You will join our small team of Sonographers, performing and independently reporting a range of ultrasound examinations on 3 Philips Affiniti 70G units. Examinations include abdominal, vascular, small part and gynaecological ultrasound.

The Department of Radiology carries out around 10,000 ultrasound scans each year.  CPD is actively encouraged and supported, with dedicated vetting time to support the service requirements.

Applicants must be qualified Diagnostic Radiographers, e.g. DCR(R) or BSc; registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (hcpc), educated to DMU or Postgraduate Diploma level in Ultrasound and have relevant post qualification clinical experience. Experience in Carotid Doppler imaging would be an advantage.

Informal enquiries should be directed to Laura Paterson, PACS / RIS System Manager, on 0141 951 5710.
