Discover a career in physiotherapy like no other at NHS Golden Jubilee

At NHS Golden Jubilee, our Physiotherapy Department offers something truly special. We’re a well-supported team working in a unique environment where innovation, learning, and patient-centred care go hand in hand.

We make sure our physiotherapists have the time and resources they need to grow and deliver outstanding care. Our strong focus on learning includes a structured training programme and clear development pathways in both cardiothoracic and orthopaedic services.

As a Band 6 Physiotherapist, you’ll benefit from formal quality improvement training and hands-on project experience. We also actively support postgraduate study, backed by our senior leadership team. Our department has a strong culture of audit and research, giving you the chance to help shape the future of physiotherapy.

We’re proud to be home to Scotland’s only adult heart transplant service, the Scottish National Advanced Heart Failure Service, offering rare and rewarding experience in caring for complex patients before and after transplant. From intensive care rehabilitation to helping patients safely return home, our physiotherapists play a vital role in the wider multidisciplinary team, and their voices are always heard and respected.

Our cardiothoracic team has even won the Scottish Government’s Innovation Award, recognising the high-quality, forward-thinking care we deliver every day.

You’ll also work with the Scottish Adult Congenital Cardiac Service and the Scottish Pulmonary Vascular Service, gaining exposure to a wide range of specialist conditions.

We’re the only cardiac centre in the UK to offer a fully funded prehabilitation service for heart and lung surgery, including advanced heart failure patients, even walking patients on intra-aortic balloon pumps, something you won’t find anywhere else.

We provide daily rehabilitation, 7 days a week, giving us the time to care for our patients and for each other and helping reduce NHS Scotland’s waiting list.

In Orthopaedics, we’re one of the busiest services in the country, offering an 8am–8pm rehab service to support early, safe discharge. This also means we’re able to offer flexible working options, including compressed hours over 3 or 4 days, helping our team maintain a healthy work-life balance.

If you’re looking for a role where your skills are valued, your development is supported, and your work makes a real difference, NHS Golden Jubilee is the place to be.

Join us on Wednesday 20 August from 6pm - 8pm at the Golden Jubilee Conference Hotel to find out more!
