NHS Golden Jubilee Chair extended to December 2026
The Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care, Neil Gray MSP, has confirmed that Susan Douglas‑Scott CBE will continue as Chair of NHS Golden Jubilee until 31 December 2026.
Susan has led the organisation since 2018. Her extended term adds a further nine months and will commence on from 4 April 2026.
A respected and influential leader, Susan brings decades of experience across the disability, health, public and third sectors. Her career includes chief executive roles in national charities, senior public appointments, and extensive board experience.
In 2025, she was appointed Chair of the interim National Care Service Advisory Board, underlining her commitment to inclusive and transformative health and social care. As a disabled woman and member of Scotland’s LGBTQI community, she has been a long‑standing advocate for equality, fairness and authentic inclusion.
Susan Douglas‑Scott said: “I am thrilled to continue in my role as Chair of NHS Golden Jubilee.
