NHS Golden Jubilee Pharmacist appointed Visiting Professor at University of Strathclyde
Consultant Pharmacist in Cardiology at NHS Golden Jubilee, Paul Forsyth, has been awarded a Visiting Professorship at the University of Strathclyde’s Institute of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences.
The appointment recognises Professor Forsyth’s outstanding contribution to pharmacy practice, research, education and patient care, and his longstanding commitment to advancing the profession.
Professor Forsyth has played a leading role in advancing cardiovascular care, supporting innovation in clinical practice and helping to shape the future healthcare workforce across NHS Scotland and beyond.
His work reflects NHS Golden Jubilee’s commitment to clinical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement, bringing together research, education and professional leadership to improve patient outcomes and experiences. In addition to his contribution to pharmacy practice, he has supported wider service innovation, patient pathway redesign and collaborative approaches to delivering high-quality, sustainable healthcare.
Professor Forsyth has also helped strengthen collaboration between NHS Golden Jubilee, academic partners and research organisations, creating opportunities for innovation, learning and the development of future pharmacy professionals.
The appointment is particularly meaningful as Professor Forsyth completed both his undergraduate pharmacy degree and independent prescribing qualification at the University of Strathclyde.
